Boost interactivity with Gamification

Curling is the most popular Olympic sport of the last decade.  The Grand Slam of Curling, the largest series of bonspiels that are part of the World Curling Tour, has extensive reach. Each tournament typically reaches 2M+ viewers on cable TV.

The GSOC OTT service, powered by the Visaic Interactive Platform, has rapidly expanded its viewership to include over 80 countries since its launch in 2017.

To engage audiences, Visaic launched a new gamification and interactivity feature on desktops, that was available as an overlay on the live video player.

It enabled fans to:

• Make predictions about the outcome of certain events

• Play curling trivia

• Compare response with other fans

50% of subscribers participated in the game proving high levels of fan engagement are possible.
